I thought GM Island Was A Ban My Account?

Some wow player discusses as following:

For weeks on end, this guy keeps bragging about going to GM island, he's always there, he brags about it in Trade and in Guild Chat but yet he has never been banned (to my knowledge).
I thought GM Island was a permanent ban? Am I wrong?
Did you report him via an in-game petition?
Not all activities receive instant action. They usually need to be investigated for appropriate action to be taken.
There are also a few other possiblities.
There is a reason Blizzard doesn't accept screenshots - they are easily doctored to say whatever someone wants. Also, Private Servers are bad. And third - anyone can claim anything, provide a screenshot, and call it truth.

Unfortunately, you'll have to remain curious. They can't inform you about actions taken against another account. For any reason.
Also, do keep in mind that people say a lot of things. Just because he's saying he's going to GM Island to wow gold doesn't mean he is. He can still get actioned for spam, if that's the case.

If that's the case, then it would appear he's using hacks/exploits. They take that pretty seriously.

Because nobody has ever lied to sound cool, and doctoring screen shots is a myth.
If you've put in a proper ticket, it's been investigated; if he's received no action on his account, he's never been there on a legit server.
